It is designed with Canon's Optical Image Stabilizer technology and is compact and light. This high zoom ratio lens is equivalent to a focal length of 88-400mm in the 35mm format (when used on Canon EOS cameras compatible with EF-S lenses). The image stabilizer effect is equivalent to a shutter speed about 4 stops faster than the same size lens without Image Stabilizer.
Canon Snappy 20
I recently bought a new camera. Upon reflection I realized that this is my 4th Canon camera. I learned how to take pictures on a Kodak 126 camera. I was hooked on photography from the beginning. I saved up my money. When the Canon Snappy 20 came on the market I was hooked. The year was 1982. The Snappy 20 was available in a variety of colors. My camera was blue. I think the price was like $79 so this was a big investment. There was a more expensive Snappy 50 that I learned about only after I purchased the Snappy 20 but I didn't know enough about photography to tell the difference.
