Actually it ranks pretty well. It does a good job of getting the directions and presenting them on the screen. You can use the find screen to look for gas or coffee shops along your route. The prohibition against turn-by-turn directions was lifted with iPhone OS 3.0. I'm really excited about getting TomTom U.S. & Canada but the $99 pricetag is delaying my purchase. Before I spend that money I want to see what the other options are. AT&T offers a free app that cost $10/month. I'm not interested in increasing my monthly bill any further.
