I certainly have not tried all of the remote desktop applications available for the iPad. I had tried another one previously for the iPhone and found it difficult to use on such a small screen. The iPad has a lot more real estate to work with. I spent my $9 and tried one with positive reviews. There are several flavors of remote desktop. I prefer the ones where you do not need to install extra software on the host computer. For me that limits the select to Remote Desktop clients for Windows and VNV clients for Mac.
